(PA) The Quadrangle

The Assisted Living Volunteer supports the well-being and engagement of residents by assisting with daily activities, social events, and companionship. Volunteers play a vital role in enhancing the quality of life for seniors by offering their time, empathy, and enthusiasm. Specific duties are assigned based on your unique talents, goals, and preferences. Key Responsibilities: - Engage residents in recreational, educational, and social activities such as games, arts and crafts, music, and storytelling. - Provide companionship through conversation, reading, or simply spending time together. - Assist staff during group events, outings, or special programs. - Help with light tasks such as organizing activity materials or escorting residents to and from events. - Promote a positive and respectful environment that supports dignity and independence. Qualifications: - Friendly, patient, and compassionate demeanor. - Strong communication and interpersonal skills. - Ability to work collaboratively with staff and other volunteers. - Respect for confidentiality and sensitivity to the needs of older adults. - No prior experience required—training will be provided. (PA) The Quadrangle

A Skilled Nursing Volunteer provides companionship and non-clinical support to residents in a skilled nursing setting. This role focuses on enhancing quality of life through social engagement, assistance with activities, and fostering a safe, respectful environment. Volunteers work under staff supervision and do not perform direct medical care. Key Responsibilities: - Offer companionship through conversation, reading, or recreational activities. - Support group programs, games, and enrichment activities. - Assist with safe resident transport within the community or during outings. - Help with meal service tasks such as distributing snacks or beverages (following food safety guidelines). - Promote dignity and respect by adhering to resident rights and confidentiality policies. Requirements: - Completion of volunteer orientation and onboarding. - Understanding of infection control, emergency preparedness, and abuse prevention policies. - Compliance with health screenings and background checks as required by state regulations. - Ability to communicate effectively with residents, including those with dementia or sensory impairments. - Commitment to maintaining privacy and avoiding unauthorized photography or social media use.
