The Assisted Living Volunteer supports the well-being and engagement of residents by assisting with daily activities, social events, and companionship. Volunteers play a vital role in enhancing the quality of life for seniors by offering their time, empathy, and enthusiasm. Specific duties are assigned based on your unique talents, goals, and preferences. Key Responsibilities: - Engage residents in recreational, educational, and social activities such as games, arts and crafts, music, and storytelling. - Provide companionship through conversation, reading, or simply spending time together. - Assist staff during group events, outings, or special programs. - Help with light tasks such as organizing activity materials or escorting residents to and from events. - Promote a positive and respectful environment that supports dignity and independence. Qualifications: - Friendly, patient, and compassionate demeanor. - Strong communication and interpersonal skills. - Ability to work collaboratively with staff and other volunteers. - Respect for confidentiality and sensitivity to the needs of older adults. - No prior experience required—training will be provided.
